Dr. Cornelia J. Willis
MD, MPH

Hello, my name is Dr. Cornelia Willis. I am a board certified Internal Medicine physician. I received my medical degree (MD) from the University of Vermont and additional degree in Public Health (MPH) from George Washington University.

My personal and professional experiences with the US healthcare system opened my eyes to the health disparities and challenges patients face finding affordable and trusted healthcare services. I am motivated to do better for my patients and my community.

I believe in 'wholistic' medicine, treating the whole person, not just the disease. I practice medicine based on continually evolving scientific evidence, safety, and efficacy while always taking into consideration the individual in front of me.

Following my graduation from medical school in 2016 I commissioned into the US Army and in 2019 completed my Internal Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. I served as a military physician at Ft. Drum where I also spent time as a hospitalist in a community hospital until deploying to Afghanistan at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I gained valuable experience treating acute and chronic medical conditions during this time.

After returning from my deployment, for my last tour of duty, I joined the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Italy where I ran a soldier centered medical home and trained medics.

Following my military service my husband, son, and I moved to be close to the beautiful Rocky Mountains here in Colorado Springs.

I am a former US National Team Rower, avid mountain biker and skier, and love getting outside with my family.
